Personal Website

Summary
A personal website is owned and or created by an individual. They usually contain information about the person, such as what they are interested in or what they have worked on. Personal websites can contain portfolios, galleries, blogs and much more.

What does this medium say about you?
I think what it says can very a lot. A professional website on your own domain is going to have a very different message from one that does not look good or has an obscure domain name. Content will also have a big affect on what people will think about it. If you have your work and resume on your website then it will send a very different message than just your favorite links and a picture of your cat.

Advantages
Some advantages to a personal website is that you have absolute control. You can decide what is on there and you can put just about any type of content on there. You can have images, links to websites, videos and sound clips.

Disadvantages
One disadvantage to a website is that you can't control who can see it. You need to make sure that it is appropriate for everyone to see and that you would want to be associated with it. If the website isn't very good it could also possibly do more harm then good.
