Someone who uses MySpace may come across as unprofessional, but it also gives you a chance to show a little bit of your personality and interests, while resumes and business cards may fail to do so.

Advantages to using MySpace as a professional medium: Shows your personality based on how you’ve decorated it, shows your interests, shows your work and school background, gives space to write blogs which you can use as professional or personal.

Disadvantages to using MySpace as a professional medium: Shows personality (may not be as professional as an employer is looking for), shows friends (may say more about who you associate with), Shows comments of friends if you choose.
